The British Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (BritChamDR) has announced that the 27th British Golf Cup will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the renowned Dye Fore Golf Course at Casa de Campo in La Romana.
Recognized as one of the Dominican Republic’s longest-running corporate golf tournaments, the event combines competitive play with business networking, attracting executives, entrepreneurs, diplomats, and members of the international business community each year.
Tournament Format and Awards
The competition will be played in a two-player scramble format, with participants competing in Categories A, B, and C. Organizers will recognize the top three net scores in each division, as well as the tournament’s best gross score.
Additional prizes will include awards for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. The overall gross champion will also receive a replica of the iconic Claret Jug, one of golf’s most recognizable trophies.
The event will conclude with an awards ceremony featuring prize drawings, food and beverage tastings, and networking opportunities for players and guests.
Registration and Sponsorship Opportunities
Registration is now open for golfers wishing to participate in the tournament. BritChamDR has also invited companies and organizations to join the event as sponsors, offering opportunities for brand visibility through on-course activations, product tastings, exhibition spaces, and promotional materials included in players’ welcome kits.
According to the chamber, the annual tournament continues to serve as a platform for strengthening commercial ties between the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom while encouraging collaboration and relationship-building through sport.
BritChamDR said additional information regarding player registration and sponsorship opportunities is available through the chamber’s official communication channels.
