Rafael Devers produced the decisive performance the San Francisco Giants needed, driving in four runs to lead his club to a dramatic 7-6 extra-inning victory over the Los Angeles Angels.
The Dominican slugger opened the scoring with a two-run home run in the first inning before delivering the winning hit in the bottom of the 10th. His RBI single plated the decisive runs as the Giants finally halted a five-game losing streak.
Giants Hold Off Angels’ Comeback
San Francisco appeared to be in control after building leads of 5-1 and later 6-4, but the Angels fought back to force extra innings. Despite surrendering both advantages, the Giants responded in the 10th to secure an important victory at home.
Casey Schmitt also played a key role in the offense, connecting on a three-run home run, while Luis Arráez contributed two hits to support the Giants’ attack.
