BMCargo Invitational Golf Tournament Returns to Punta Cana With Charity Focus
BMCargo has unveiled the 13th edition of its Invitational Golf Tournament, bringing together 360 golfers, corporate leaders, and nonprofit organizations for three days of competition, networking, and fundraising at Corales Golf Course in Punta Cana from September 24 to 26.
BMCargo has announced the details of the 13th edition of its Invitational Golf Tournament, an event that combines competitive golf with philanthropy and business networking at Corales Golf Course in Puntacana Resort, one of the Dominican Republic’s premier golf destinations.
The tournament will take place from September 24 to 26 and will feature 360 players competing over three rounds on the oceanfront course overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Organizers said all available spots sold out within just 50 minutes, highlighting the growing popularity of the event among golfers and the business community.
Golf Competition With a Charitable Mission
Beyond the sporting competition, the tournament serves as a fundraising platform for nonprofit organizations. This year’s beneficiaries are the Fundación Grupo Puntacana, Un Techo Para Mi País República Dominicana, and Fundación Laso.
Since its launch, the event has directed more than RD$26.9 million to 20 charitable organizations, using golf as a platform to connect companies, players, and social initiatives across the Dominican Republic.
“This tournament has grown thanks to the trust of our players, sponsors and partners, but its true value lies in what we are able to build together. Every edition allows us to transform a sporting experience into an opportunity to support causes that need visibility and resources,” said Ramsés Atallah, CEO of BMCargo.
Competition Format at Corales Golf Course
The tournament will be played at Corales Golf Course, internationally recognized for its seaside layout and as the only golf course in the Dominican Republic to host a PGA Tour event.
Tournament director Félix Olivo said competitors will play a two-player scramble format using 25% of each team’s combined handicap. The competition will include men’s divisions A, B, and C, as well as a women’s category. Daily contests for closest-to-the-pin and longest drive will also be held, alongside hole-in-one prizes on every par-three hole.
Entertainment and Corporate Networking
In addition to the golf competition, the program includes networking activities for sponsors and business leaders, the traditional Ladies’ Party, and two evening celebrations at Playa Blanca within Puntacana Resort.
Performances are scheduled by several well-known Latin music artists, including Miriam Cruz, Magic Juan, Los Hermanos Rosario, Milly Quesada, Free Cover, and Jerry Rivera, adding an entertainment component that has become a hallmark of the annual tournament.
Broad Corporate Support
This year’s edition is backed by Visa Infinite, Grupo Puntacana, and Liriano as official sponsors, along with dozens of companies representing sectors such as banking, logistics, automotive, insurance, technology, hospitality, food and beverage, aviation, and consumer brands.
BMCargo, a logistics and international freight transportation company with more than three decades of operations, maintains an extensive network throughout the Dominican Republic and has offices in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, and Europe. The annual tournament has become one of its flagship corporate social responsibility initiatives, combining sports, philanthropy, and business engagement in one of the Caribbean’s leading golf destinations.
