Festival Presidente 2026 Announces Don Omar as First Headliner

Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, through its flagship Presidente beer brand, has officially launched the next edition of Festival Presidente, confirming Puerto Rican urban music icon Don Omar as the first artist on the lineup. The performance will mark his return to the Dominican Republic after nearly ten years away from local stages.

Organizers said additional artists will be revealed gradually through daily announcements on Presidente’s official digital platforms, building anticipation for one of the country’s most recognizable live music events.

Festival Returns With a Multi-Stage Format

The festival will once again take place at the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte in Santo Domingo. Production has been entrusted to SD Concerts, with sponsorship from Scotiabank and Visa.

According to the organizers, this edition will feature a new multi-stage layout designed to enhance the audience experience while reinforcing the Dominican Republic’s position as a regional destination for major entertainment events.

Economic Impact Beyond the Concert

The event forms part of Cervecería Nacional Dominicana’s annual investment strategy. Company president Fabián Suárez said Festival Presidente is intended to generate economic activity that extends beyond the music industry, contributing to local businesses and the country’s gross domestic product.

Preparations include promotional campaigns across more than 56,000 retail locations through initiatives such as “Festival Wednesdays,” sponsorship of events, and participation in local festivals. Organizers expect the festival to benefit sectors including hospitality, restaurants, transportation, and the creative industries.

Safety and Sustainability Measures

Festival organizers also outlined operational plans focused on responsible consumption and sustainability. The event will implement safety protocols and logistical measures that were recently tested during an Arcángel concert in Santiago.

Planned initiatives include crowd management and security controls, accessible routes for attendees with disabilities, hydration stations, waste management systems, and dedicated spaces for local food vendors and entrepreneurs.
