Joheirry Mola Heads to Vietnam to Represent the Dominican Republic at Miss World
Dominican representative Joheirry Mola departed for Vietnam on Wednesday to compete in the 75th Miss World pageant, joining more than 100 contestants from around the world ahead of the September 5 grand final.
Joheirry Mola, the Dominican Republic’s representative at the 75th Miss World competition, departed for Vietnam on Wednesday to begin her participation in one of the world’s most recognized international beauty pageants.
Her official farewell took place at Las Américas International Airport near Santo Domingo, where family members, supporters, representatives of the Miss Mundo Dominicana organization, members of the national media, and the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism folkloric ballet gathered to wish her success before her departure.
Representing the Country on a Global Stage
This year’s Miss World competition will bring together more than 100 contestants from across the globe, with the grand final scheduled for September 5 in Vietnam.
Founded in 1951, Miss World is the world’s oldest international beauty pageant and places significant emphasis on its “Beauty With a Purpose” initiative, which recognizes contestants for their social impact projects, leadership, and community engagement alongside the traditional competition.
Before boarding her flight, Mola said she was honored to represent her country.
“I carry with me the heart of every Dominican. I travel to Vietnam with the responsibility of representing our culture, our people, and the true meaning of Beauty With a Purpose,” she said.
Preparation Beyond the Pageant
In addition to holding the national Miss World Dominican Republic title, Mola serves as a correspondent for the Ventana a Quisqueya segment on Univision 41 New York, where she highlights Dominican culture, tourism, and stories of interest to the country’s diaspora.
The Miss Mundo Dominicana organization said Mola completed comprehensive training in leadership, public speaking, cultural knowledge, international presentation, and the development of her Beauty With a Purpose project, all of which are central components of the Miss World competition.
The organization also thanked AERODOM, the Ministry of Tourism, national media outlets, and everyone who participated in the farewell ceremony, expressing confidence that Mola will represent the Dominican Republic with dignity, compassion, and excellence throughout the international event.
