Sergio Vargas will take the stage at Lungomare Bar & Lounge on September 10 for a concert that will bring together songs from his nearly 45-year career and material from his latest album, “De Todo un Poco.” The performance will begin at 9:00 p.m. at the venue on 365 George Washington Avenue in Santo Domingo and will feature Vargas alongside his Filarmónica de Villa.

Produced by Raphy D’Oleo, the show is designed to connect different stages of Vargas’ career, combining established songs with newer material. The format gives audiences an opportunity to revisit some of the repertoire that has defined the Dominican merengue singer while hearing selections from his latest recording project.

A Career Spanning Nearly 45 Years

Vargas, who was born in Villa Altagracia, has built a career closely associated with Dominican merengue and has maintained an active performance schedule in the Dominican Republic and abroad. His September appearance will focus on songs that have accompanied his career while introducing part of his current musical direction.

The concert will combine familiar repertoire with songs from “De Todo un Poco,” creating a program that reflects both Vargas’ established catalog and his recent work. The participation of his Filarmónica de Villa will be central to the live performance.

“De Todo un Poco” Broadens His Musical Repertoire

Released through J&N Records and digital platforms including Spotify, “De Todo un Poco” contains more than 60% previously unreleased material, according to information provided about the album. The project brings together merengue típico, ballad and bachata, expanding the range of styles represented in Vargas’ latest work.

“El intruso” was selected as the album’s first promotional single. The production was developed with Ademar Sinter, while Vargas has characterized the project as an artisanal work focused on the selection and treatment of its songs.

The album represents a new stage within a career that has remained strongly linked to merengue. Its broader selection of genres allows Vargas to present new material without moving away from the musical identity that has defined his work for decades.

Tickets Start At RD$1,500

Tickets for the concert are available through Uepa Ticket, Lungo Ticket and Boletería RD.com. VIP tickets cost RD$2,500, while general admission is priced at RD$1,500.

Lungomare Bar & Lounge is located at 365 George Washington Avenue in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Additional information about the event is available by calling 809-682-3009.

Vargas Maintains An International Performance Schedule

The Santo Domingo concert comes as Vargas continues performing in the Dominican Republic and internationally. His recent schedule has included appearances in Spain and Colombia, where he has maintained an audience beyond his home country.

Colombia has become an important destination for the singer’s performances. Vargas has said he spends a significant part of the year performing there, describing the country’s audiences as demanding while respectful of artists with long careers.

He also appeared this year at the Cook Music Fest in Tenerife, Spain, sharing the stage with artists including Olga Tañón, Los Hermanos Rosario and Elvis Crespo. Festival organizers presented him with a special recognition following his performance.

His September 10 appearance in Santo Domingo will bring that international stage experience back to the Dominican capital while placing his established hits alongside selected songs from “De Todo un Poco.”
