Aventúrate RD 2026 will bring tourism businesses and professionals together in Puerto Plata from September 1-3 as the Dominican Republic’s adventure tourism sector seeks to strengthen commercial links with international markets.

The second edition of the specialized tourism fair will be held at the Hotel Marién under a three-day format combining structured business meetings, experiential exhibitions, industry panels, training sessions and professional networking. The event’s official website confirms Puerto Plata as the host destination and September 1-3, 2026 as the event dates.

A Platform For Tourism Business

Aventúrate RD is designed to connect different parts of the adventure tourism value chain, including tour operators, travel agencies, service providers and organized communities. The format places particular emphasis on segmented business appointments intended to facilitate commercial agreements between Dominican suppliers and buyers from domestic and international markets.

The event’s focus extends beyond traditional beach tourism, highlighting nature, outdoor activities, community-based tourism and other experiences that can diversify the Dominican Republic’s tourism offer. The organizers describe the fair as a platform for connecting destinations and tourism professionals with wholesalers, retailers and other industry participants.

For Puerto Plata, on the country’s northern coast, the event also reinforces the province’s role as a base for tourism experiences beyond conventional resort products. The broader northern region includes destinations and activities associated with nature, adventure and outdoor travel.

International Buyers And Dominican Operators

The 2026 edition is expected to include more than 200 international tour operators and close to 100 Dominican operators, according to the information provided by the organizers. The participation is intended to create direct connections between the country’s tourism supply and international source markets.

The event has also attracted participation from companies and institutions spanning several areas of the tourism economy, including the Ministry of Tourism, Copa Airlines, hotel groups, resorts, travel agencies, the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), technology companies and specialized tourism operators.

This mix reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of adventure tourism, where transportation, accommodation, technology, local experiences and tour operations all contribute to the final product offered to travelers.

Three Days Of Meetings And Industry Events

The opening day, Tuesday, September 1, will focus on participant registration and accreditation before an inaugural cocktail at the Holiday Inn Puerto Plata.

The main business program will take place on Wednesday, September 2, with B2B meetings, forums, conferences, presentations of tourism products and services, and networking activities. The format is intended to give tourism businesses opportunities to present their offerings directly to professional buyers.

Activities will continue on Thursday, September 3, with additional business meetings, forums and networking sessions. A closing press conference is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., followed later that afternoon by a Sunset Closing Cocktail at Amhsa Marina Hotel & Resort in Sosúa.

Focus On Adventure And Sustainable Experiences

Aventúrate RD is positioning the 2026 edition around the diversification of the Dominican tourism product, particularly through experiences connected to nature, local communities and outdoor activities. The organizers say the initiative is intended to create opportunities for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized tourism businesses while strengthening links between communities and international buyers.

The event’s official platform describes Aventúrate RD as an initiative aimed at promoting a broader and more authentic view of the Dominican Republic, with sustainability, local identity and new business opportunities among its central themes.

Jakaira Cid, CEO of Aventúrate RD, said the fair is intended to give entrepreneurs, companies and communities direct access to decision-makers involved in tourism purchasing in the Dominican and international markets.

With its combination of B2B meetings, professional forums and experiential displays, Aventúrate RD 2026 will place Puerto Plata at the center of a three-day effort to expand the commercial reach of the country’s adventure tourism products and strengthen connections with international travel markets.
