Dominican Exports Generate $3.67 Million in Business Opportunities
Dominican companies generated an estimated US$3.68 million in business leads during July after ProDominicana promoted local products at three major trade fairs in the Caribbean and the United States.
Dominican companies generated an estimated US$3,678,745 in business leads during July as the Center for Export and Investment of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) promoted the country’s exportable products at three major trade fairs in the Caribbean and the United States.
The commercial activity was part of ProDominicana’s strategy to help Dominican businesses expand internationally and develop opportunities in strategic markets. The participation covered trade and investment, beauty and personal care, and supermarket retail, giving companies access to buyers, distributors, importers and investors from several markets.
Dominican Companies Target Caribbean and U.S. Markets
The international agenda began with the Trade & Investment Convention (TIC) 2026 at the Centre of Excellence in Trinidad and Tobago. The event brings together manufacturers, exporters, buyers and investors from more than 35 countries and is regarded as one of the Caribbean’s major platforms for trade and investment.
Dominican companies used the convention to present their exportable products and pursue new commercial relationships. The event formed the first part of a broader July agenda aimed at expanding the international reach of Dominican businesses.
ProDominicana subsequently participated in Cosmoprof Las Vegas 2026 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in the United States. The trade fair is a major business platform for the beauty industry in the Americas, providing Dominican companies with an opportunity to showcase hair care, personal care and cosmetic products.
The participating companies included Laboratorio Capilo Español, Halka Industrial, Avacare, Inversiones y Negocios, S.A., Laboratorios Dr. Collado, Laboratorios Lemuel, Importadora Fernández García Tejada and Bahaily Natural Products. Their product lines include hair and body care products, specialized cosmetics and goods made with natural ingredients.
Food and Consumer Products Reach U.S. Retail Buyers
The July trade mission concluded at the NSA Trade Show 2026, held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. The event serves independent supermarkets and brings together manufacturers, distributors, importers and retail executives from the U.S. East Coast.
Dominican participants included Agrolácteos Imanfa, Vencor Group, Sancler, Sylvan Foods, Café Santo Domingo, Todus, Jomisardys and Delimix. Their offerings included beans, cookies, beauty products, value-added frozen foods and coffee.
The combination of the three trade fairs allowed Dominican exporters to target different segments of international demand, from beauty and personal care to food and consumer products. The estimated US$3.68 million in business leads reflects the commercial interest generated during the missions and adds to efforts to strengthen the country’s presence in strategic export markets.
For Dominican businesses seeking to expand beyond the domestic market, participation in international trade fairs provides direct access to potential buyers and commercial partners while allowing exporters to present locally manufactured and processed products to specialized audiences.
