Festival Presidente 2026 Returns With A New Multistage Format

Festival Presidente 2026 will return to Santo Domingo on December 11 and 12 with a new format designed to turn the long-running Dominican music event into a broader entertainment experience. The festival will take place at the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez and will expand into different areas of the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte.

The two-day event will combine performances by major Dominican and international artists with multiple stages, immersive shows, food options and interactive experiences. The change marks a shift from a traditional concert-centered format toward a festival in which audiences can move between different areas and activities throughout the day.

Multiple Stages Will Expand The Festival Experience

The 2026 edition will operate several stages simultaneously, allowing audiences to choose between different musical and entertainment offerings rather than waiting for each performance on the main stage. The expanded format will also incorporate gastronomic areas and interactive spaces across the festival grounds.

The production is being led by Saymon Díaz and SD Concerts, with the new concept drawing on the evolution of major international festivals. The organizers have said the objective is to adapt that broader festival model to the Dominican audience while giving attendees more options during each day’s program.

Among the new attractions is a version of Perro Negro, an international nightlife concept, as well as a theatrical circus-style production featuring live music, aerial acrobatics, moving structures and visual effects. These elements are intended to place audiences inside the performance rather than limiting the experience to watching artists from a conventional stage.

Juan Luis Guerra, Calvin Harris And More On Friday

The musical lineup will bring together artists from merengue, salsa, urban music, pop and electronic music. On Friday, December 11, the festival will feature Juan Luis Guerra 4.40 and Calvin Harris, alongside Beéle, Danny Ocean, Milly Quezada, Chiquito Team Band, Fineta, La Más Doll, Leo RD and Arlene MC.

The first night brings together several generations and musical traditions. Juan Luis Guerra and Milly Quezada represent important chapters in Dominican popular music, while Calvin Harris adds an international electronic music component to the program. Beéle, Danny Ocean and the other performers broaden the lineup toward contemporary Latin pop and urban sounds.

Don Omar And Katy Perry Headline Saturday

Saturday, December 12, will feature Don Omar and Katy Perry, supported by Omar Courtz, Aria Vega, Elena Rose, Dalvin La Melodía, Yiyo Sarante, DJ Karlo, Fineta, El Lápiz and Donaty.

The second night continues the festival’s combination of international stars and Dominican performers. The lineup spans reggaeton, pop, salsa and contemporary urban music, giving the weekend a broad musical range rather than focusing on a single genre.

The official ticketing platform lists the festival as a two-day event and offers both individual-day tickets and a two-day combo. Current prices range from RD$3,900 for selected grandstand sections to RD$10,500 for Terreno VIP per day, while two-day combinations range from RD$7,800 to RD$21,000.

A Return After Years Away

Festival Presidente is one of the Dominican Republic’s best-known large-scale music events. Its return follows a prolonged absence from the country’s major concert calendar, with the previous edition held in 2017.

The festival has historically combined internationally recognized performers with leading Dominican artists, making it a significant part of the country’s contemporary music scene. Its 2026 return retains that core idea while expanding the event into a wider cultural and entertainment setting.

For Santo Domingo, the new format also places greater emphasis on the festival environment itself. Instead of concentrating activity around a single performance area, the production will use different parts of the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte to create a larger circuit of music, food and entertainment.

With two nights of major performances and a broader range of activities, Festival Presidente 2026 is set to bring back one of the Dominican Republic’s signature music events while testing a more immersive approach to large-scale live entertainment.
