CEDIMAT Adds Abbott EnSite X System to Advance Arrhythmia Treatment
CEDIMAT has upgraded its Electrophysiology Unit with the Abbott EnSite X mapping system, a next-generation technology designed to improve the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias while reducing radiation exposure for both adult and pediatric patients.
SANTO DOMINGO — CEDIMAT, one of the Dominican Republic’s leading medical centers, has expanded the capabilities of its Electrophysiology Unit with the incorporation of the Abbott EnSite X system, an advanced cardiac mapping platform used to treat complex heart rhythm disorders.
The new technology is designed to provide physicians with greater precision during electrophysiological procedures, allowing them to identify the source of abnormal heart rhythms more accurately. It also reduces patients’ exposure to radiation by limiting the need for prolonged fluoroscopy during interventions.
Advanced Technology for Complex Arrhythmias
The Abbott EnSite X system creates detailed three-dimensional maps of the heart, enabling specialists to plan and perform catheter ablation procedures with enhanced accuracy. This approach can improve treatment options for patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias while supporting more efficient clinical decision-making.
The technology will be available for both adult and pediatric patients, expanding access to advanced electrophysiology care in the Dominican Republic.
Strengthening Specialized Cardiac Care
By incorporating the EnSite X platform, CEDIMAT continues to strengthen its cardiovascular services and provide physicians with modern tools for managing challenging heart rhythm disorders. The addition reflects the growing adoption of advanced medical technologies aimed at improving patient outcomes and procedural safety.
The system’s enhanced imaging and mapping capabilities are expected to support more personalized treatment strategies while offering new therapeutic opportunities for patients requiring specialized electrophysiological care.
