EDEESTE Upgrades Power Grid in Yamasá and Peralvillo

EDEESTE, the electricity distribution company serving eastern Dominican Republic, has begun construction and modernization work on electrical networks in the municipalities of Yamasá and Peralvillo, in Monte Plata province, as part of an effort to improve service quality and expand the capacity of the local power distribution system.

According to the utility, the project will ease the load on circuits currently operating under high demand by distributing electricity more efficiently across the network. The upgrades are intended to enhance overall system performance while supporting the growing energy needs of both communities.

Reducing Outages and Voltage Fluctuations

EDEESTE said the improvements are expected to reduce circuit overloads, lower the frequency of power interruptions, and minimize voltage fluctuations that affect customers. The company stated that the upgraded infrastructure will provide a more stable, secure, and reliable electricity supply for households and businesses.

Beyond improving current service, the new distribution networks are designed to accommodate future population growth and facilitate the connection of new customers, increasing the overall capacity of the electrical system in both municipalities.
