The first four buildings of NOOM Arakúa are now under construction in Miches, marking the beginning of the residential phase of Maralda, a large-scale urban and tourism development in the eastern Dominican Republic.

Developer George Nader said the start of construction represents a transition from the project’s master plan to physical execution and provides an early indication of residential demand within the broader development.

First Residential Phase Takes Shape

NOOM Arakúa is designed as the first residential development within Maralda, with a concept centered on lower-density living, sustainability and integration with the surrounding natural environment.

Nader described the development process as a sequence in which the master plan organizes the territory, infrastructure enables further construction and residential projects help establish demand and continuity within the destination.

The four buildings currently under construction are expected to provide practical experience for subsequent phases of Maralda as the wider development moves from planning toward implementation.

Residential Concept Focuses on Nature

NOOM Arakúa operates under the concept “Living The Noom Miches: A habitat for your genuine nature”, emphasizing wellness, sustainability and closer interaction with the natural landscape.

The project is planned around sustainable materials, innovative technologies and flexible designs intended to integrate residential spaces with their surroundings. Its concept also includes extensive green areas and spaces for yoga, meditation and outdoor activities.

The development is intended to promote a lifestyle centered on wellness and outdoor living while maintaining a lower-density approach to residential construction.

Maralda Development Moves Into Construction

The construction of NOOM Arakúa marks a significant step for Maralda as the wider master plan begins to take physical form. The project’s developers describe the residential component as part of a broader strategy to establish an integrated community combining tourism, housing and natural surroundings.

For Miches, where tourism and real estate development have expanded in recent years, the progress of the project adds another residential component to the area’s evolving development landscape. The next phases of Maralda will depend on the continued execution of its infrastructure and development plans.
