Brazobán improved to 5-2 after earning the win in the first game of a doubleheader as the New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-2. Monasterio Lifts Boston in Extra Innings
Andruw Monasterio delivered one of the night’s biggest moments, hitting a two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning to give the Boston Red Sox a 4-2 victory over the Athletics. Boston overcame missed scoring opportunities in the late innings before Monasterio’s decisive swing. Aroldis Chapman earned the win in the 900th appearance of his MLB career, while Greg Weissert recorded his first save of the season.
Comebacks Highlight the Night
The Miami Marlins erased a six-run deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies 8-6, completing a three-game sweep and improving to 55-54. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles rallied from six runs behind to edge the Detroit Tigers 10-9 in 12 innings, spoiling a milestone outing in which Tarik Skubal recorded the 1,000th strikeout of his career.
The Chicago White Sox also needed 12 innings to beat the New York Yankees 6-5, while the St. Louis Cardinals walked off the Chicago Cubs 3-2 in 10 innings.

The San Francisco Giants produced the most explosive offensive performance of the day, routing the Milwaukee Brewers 16-3 behind 17 hits and the first two major league home runs by Daniel Susac.
